A disagreement broke out late Thursday evening in a coffee house in Vienna-Favoriten. A 45-year-old allegedly stabbed his opponent (31) in the stomach with a sharp object. Both men were taken to hospital.
Around 22:15 the argument got out of hand. The men attacked each other in front of the coffee house in Favoriten and a fight broke out. The 31-year-old is said to have suffered a stab wound in his stomach. The attacker (45) then ran away.
Fugitive attacker immediately caught
The emergency services arrived on the scene in a short time and the police were able to quickly locate the 45-year-old based on the exact description of the person. He was temporarily arrested in the area of Quellestrasse. Both men were injured in the fight; they were treated by the Vienna emergency services and taken to hospital.
“After medical treatment, the 45-year-old suspect is being held by the police,” police spokeswoman Julia Schick reports. There is no danger to the 31-year-old’s life.
