The Mörbisch fire brigade had to rescue three people who were in distress due to the storm on Lake Neusiedl.
The thunderstorms of Friday evening surprised some people who were at the Neusiedler See at the time. In two cases, the fire brigade of Mörbisch am See had to go out to rescue people.

The Florianis had been warned by the state security center that two stand-up paddlers were in distress due to the storm between Mörbisch and Illmitz. The emergency services immediately left in the fire boat to rescue the two.
Hobby fisherman surprised by storm
“During the operation, a small inflatable boat with a hobby fisherman on board was also identified, which got caught in the storm and drifted from Mörbisch to shortly before Illmitz,” the fire brigade reported.
All three people were taken on board and brought safely to the port of Mörbisch.
