The youngest young crook is only 13 years old, but he dares to break into a car together with even younger accomplices!
The trio stood in broad daylight for a remarkably long time and intensely around a parked car on the Knotzenbachgasse in Liesing. When a soft ringing sound was heard, it was clear to an eyewitness: here was a dangerous gang of boys at work!
The alert neighbor immediately alerted the police. The very quick arrival at the scene of the crime turned out to be a bull’s-eye in the sense of a successful official act. Because the officers saw a broken window, they immediately recognized that there had been a burglary.
Young, but already a criminal
The bewildered youngsters are a boy (13) and two accomplices, aged 14 and 15. During the search of the house of the oldest of the three suspects, several car keys, debit cards and small amounts of narcotics were found.
Serial offenders at work
Criminals therefore rightly suspect that these are serial offenders who have struck in this way several times. In any case, the head of the gang was taken to prison, the other two were initially arrested, but then handed over to their legal guardians.
Brazen car thieves
But this is not the only emergency coup in Vienna this year. As reported, more brazen young perpetrators with a migrant background were arrested in the spring. The young people from Chechnya, Syria, Afghanistan and Slovakia formed a gang that at one point smashed the windows of taxis.
In fact, the criminals took long joyrides with the smashed-in vehicles. In total, the 24 boys are said to have committed over 500 crimes since last fall. The multicultural gang is also the target of material damage and other thefts.
