Hammer attack in Vienna: In Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus, three people were injured by a 29-year-old man shortly after midnight. The man is said to have first hit the victims – two men and a woman – with the hammer and then robbed their bags. The life of a person is now in danger!
The horrific incident is said to have taken place ten minutes after midnight on Tuesday. The 29-year-old Serbian is said to have attacked two men (39, 51) and a woman (43) with a hammer and stolen one man’s bag and the woman’s bag. The suspect then fled.

Alert passers-by quickly alerted the police. The victims were immediately treated by the Vienna professional rescue team and taken to a hospital. The 51-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries in the attack.

Shortly afterwards, the 29-year-old suspect was arrested near the crime scene and detained. “The stolen goods and the murder weapon have been seized. The Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department, West, has taken over the investigation,” police spokeswoman Barbara Gass said on Tuesday. The interrogation of the victims and the suspect is still ongoing. The arrested man is currently being held at the police station.
