Police were able to put an end to a series of burglaries in Vorarlberg on Monday: a 21-year-old thief fell into the net of the officers.
Last Monday, the resident of a single-family home in Göfis heard a ringing sound in the living room around 11:45. Shortly afterwards, she saw a man jump on a moped in front of the house and run away. The woman called the police, who immediately ordered a large-scale manhunt with multiple police patrols.
Thanks to numerous tips from the public, a 21-year-old man was caught red-handed in another burglary and arrested shortly after. He had stolen cash, as well as several stolen keys and burglary tools.
The investigation also revealed that the criminal had stolen the moped from the train station in Sulz that same day and that another burglary in Hörbranz could be attributed to him.
