A 67-year-old motorcyclist fell due to a medical emergency on Wednesday morning. He drove into a pumpkin field near Straß (Leibnitz district), sustained injuries of undetermined nature and had to be taken by helicopter to the Graz State Hospital.
Shortly after half past eight on Wednesday morning, a 67-year-old from the Leibnitz district was riding his motorbike on the L 622 towards the field. He may have had a medical emergency at the end of Gersdorf an der Mur.
Fall into the pumpkin patch
The motorcycle left the road to the right and slid about 18 meters into a pumpkin field. A neighbor noticed his fall and immediately called the emergency services. After initial treatment, the South Styrian man was flown to LKH Graz by the rescue helicopter Christophorus 12 with injuries of undetermined nature.
