In the early hours of Sunday morning, a brutal attack took place in Tyrol’s Ötztal: At a party, two young men were attacked by unknown perpetrators and some were seriously injured. Both had to be taken to hospital.
For some festival-goers it may have taken a little longer. According to the police, the brutal attack took place around 5:30 a.m. at a party in Umhausen.
The reason for the attack is still completely unclear
Two young men aged 18 and 19 were suddenly attacked by unknown perpetrators. According to the investigators, it is still completely unclear why. The 19-year-old was seriously injured in the knee as a result of the attack.
Companion injured in the head
His younger companion apparently sustained significant head injuries. After initial treatment, both injured were taken by ambulance to Zams Hospital. There is currently no trace of the attackers; the police have launched an investigation.
