Due to animal abuse – mowed deer calves: charges against politicians

Date:

The case brought to light by the “Krone” caused a great deal of excitement: a farmer is said to have recklessly run over six fawns in Eidenberg in Upper Austria and literally mowed them down. Now the farmer and the local politician of the FPÖ are confronted with legal proceedings: the charges are ready.

As reported, the farmer is said to have rejected several offers from hunters to search the pasture for young animals with a drone. Four fawns were said to have been killed immediately by the mowing. Two other fawns were said to have had their legs cut off. Hunters found the animals and had to shoot them.

Accusation: Animal cruelty and poaching
Now the farmer, who is also a local FPÖ politician, must answer to the court for animal cruelty. The criminal complaint has now been completed and the suspect is also accused of poaching. Presumably it concerns a “serious interference with someone else’s hunting law”, because the fawns were killed during the closed season.
