A 54-year-old driver was killed in a head-on collision on the B60 between Ebenfurth and Eggendorf in Lower Austria on Tuesday evening after another driver pushed his car out of the oncoming lane.
An 18-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries by the emergency helicopter “Christophorus 3”, the Lower Austrian police reported on Wednesday.
Car tilted
The man from the Wiener Neustadt district should have gotten into the oncoming lane with his car. Due to the force of the collision, the 54-year-old’s car overturned and came to a stop in the ditch. The driver was trapped in the car. Despite the rescue of the fire brigade, all help for the woman came too late. She died at the scene of the accident.
