An accident that probably occurred as a result of a negative chain reaction. A 70-year-old driver simply wanted to park her car in the garage of her home in Ohlsdorf, Upper Austria. In order to do so, however, she had to open the access gate. And that is exactly what happened. The seriously injured elderly woman had to be taken to hospital.
The 70-year-old from Ohlsdorf stopped her car in front of the garage door of her apartment building on Monday around 4:45 p.m. The elderly woman then got out to get the garage key that she had left in the trunk.
The accident happened in the form of a chain reaction: the pensioner leaned on the body of the car, which then started to roll in combination with the slight slope.
Serious injury to forearm and ankle
The 70-year-old was pushed to the ground by the driver’s door and rolled over by the left front tire. She suffered serious injuries to her right forearm and right ankle and was taken by ambulance to the Salzkammergut Clinic in Vöcklabruck after emergency medical treatment.
