A farmhouse in St. Ruprecht an der Raab in eastern Styria burned down on Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters were just able to prevent the fire from spreading to the home of a 35-year-old Styrian. According to a statement from the Styrian State Police Directorate on Wednesday, more than 100 men and women were on duty. The cause of the fire was initially unclear.

The 35-year-old heard a crackling sound outside his house at around 4:30 p.m. and discovered that the arbor of the neighboring farm was completely on fire.
