Salzburg writer Bodo Hell has been missing for almost a week. Because an acquaintance has not been able to reach him since last Friday, he became skeptical.
His last known location was the Grafenbergalm in the Dachstein massif. In the summer the writer regularly retreats there.
So far, the searchers have not been able to find him in his hut or in the area. So far, about 100 helpers have been involved in the campaign. Mountain rescue services, the army, the fire brigade, the Red Cross, the police and even police helicopters have been on the scene.
After the search for the 81-year-old had already been stopped without success, new clues now give hope: the search was resumed after a new clue from mobile phone data. Around 40 mountain rescuers and alpine police are now searching in the area around Speikberg and Hirschberg, supported by dogs and drones.
