Cyclists overlooked – car versus e-bike: 62-year-old Weizer injured

On Sunday afternoon, an accident occurred in Mortantsch (Weiz district) between a car and an e-bike. A 50-year-old driver overlooked the 62-year-old cyclist: he crashed into the windshield and suffered an unspecified degree of injury.

Cyclists are often the invisible people in traffic: On Sunday afternoon, a 50-year-old motorist wanted to turn left from a slip road onto the L 356 when suddenly an accident occurred. According to his own statements, he did not see the e-bike handlebars that were riding on the country road.

With his head against the windshield
The 62-year-old from the Weiz district (Styria) hit the left front fender and then hit his head against the windshield. He injured his face to an unspecified extent and had to be taken by ambulance to Weiz LKH. Neither driver was drunk.
