Sunday afternoon a garden shed at Leoben caught fire due to a defective electrical outlet. 49 firefighters had to arrive with ten vehicles, and the hut next door was also hit.
Early Sunday morning, the owners of a garden house in Leoben were in for a nasty surprise: the building caught fire for unknown reasons – when the emergency services arrived, it was already completely engulfed in flames. A hut next door was also hit.
A total of four fire brigades (FF Leoben-Göss, FF Leoben-Stadt, FF Niklasdorf, BTF Donawitz) responded with ten vehicles and 49 personnel.
The Florianis worked together to prevent a third cabin from falling victim to the fire. The huge amount of smoke required additional emergency services and respiratory protection teams.
In order to get the fire completely under control, the roof of the garden shed had to be opened with a chainsaw. At 16:40 the fire was finally extinguished. The fire was probably caused by a faulty electrical socket.
