Brutal burglary in Vienna-Döbling: Three masked men threatened a woman in her own home with a gun and tied her up. According to information from the “Krone” it concerns the wife of a former construction magnate. His villa was the target for the second time.
Shortly before four o’clock on Wednesday evening, the three men sneaked into the noble house. The previously unknown trio may have known the house well. In any case, this building, which belongs to a former construction contractor, had been broken into some time ago – a loot of millions! It is still unclear whether the perpetrators had background knowledge or whether information was passed on.
Anyway, the men entered and threatened a sleeping woman with a gun. According to information from “Krone”, it was the wife of the entrepreneur, who was not present. It soon became clear what the intruders wanted. They briefly demanded the return of various valuables.
Escaped in a car
They then tied their victim up with cable ties and stole cash, jewellery and even handbags, leaving the tied-up woman helpless as they sped away in her car, a Mini, complete with their loot.
After a short while, the millionaire’s wife, who remained unharmed, managed to free herself from the tires and alert a neighbor. From there, the police were called and an immediate search for the trio was launched, but so far without success.
Police are asking for information
The public is now being asked for relevant information. You can pass this on – also anonymously – to the Vienna State Criminal Investigation Department at 01-31310 ext.
