The 14-year-old son of a Viennese man apparently had mischief on his neck on Wednesday morning. The boy drove into a bar in the Danube city in a car that was probably stolen, after which he committed a collision. His own father is said to have eventually taken on the prosecution. Now the teenager is facing serious consequences!
The 14-year-old teenager is said to have raced through Vienna on Wednesday morning in a car that had been reported stolen in Gänserndorf (Lower Austria). Until a crash occurred in the Danube city: there he raced into a café garden on Schüttau Platz. But instead of standing still, the boy fled – chased by his own father!
According to the Viennese police, he tried to stop him, but without success. The man then called the police emergency number…
In Favoriten it was finally time to stop the chase: the 14-year-old was able to stop at a red light in the direction of the Fischhofgasse on the FINLANDERGASSE. The boy was temporarily arrested by the officers and taken to a prison.
On a joyride with a friend
The boy has already been questioned by detectives. He is said to have received the car keys from an acquaintance and got into the car with him, which was parked on Jägerstrasse. After the friend left the car, the 14-year-old continued the journey alone, went to his home address, stayed there for a while before starting the car again. According to the police, the car had been reported stolen that night.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. The boy is now not only threatened with a reprimand from his own father, but also with multiple administrative criminal charges.
