Islamic studies outside state-approved educational institutions are once again being targeted by politicians. In the fight against possible parallel societies, changes must now come – also in the area of language.
As is known, religious education in schools is anchored in the local constitution and is co-organized by the respective churches or religious communities. At the same time, children also receive private lessons about the religious community in a religious context, for example in the respective mosques and places of worship for Muslims. The crux of the matter, however, is often that these lessons are also offered by unqualified people or unrecognized imams. Full of images from the Stone Age of women, undemocratic values - and above all far away from any state educational institution. But that should change now.
