Too drunk – man with axe in hand threatened: “Kill you!”

Date:

When there is too much alcohol involved, friends can quickly become ‘enemies’. Something similar could have happened on Saturday night in an apartment in Hüttenberg. Except that the situation really escalated…

With an axe in his hand, a 23-year-old from Hüttenberg threatened to kill a 61-year-old and a 40-year-old at around 8:39 p.m. “He supported his threat with an axe,” the police said. However, the two men who were threatened were not particularly intimidated by this.

“The men were able to take the suspect’s axe in a scuffle, but injured his body and damaged his glasses,” the police reported. The younger man then lost his courage and ran away. “After the police investigation, the perpetrator was arrested with the help of the EKO Cobra at his home address in the municipality of Hüttenberg,” the police said.

Too drunk to be interviewed
Police were initially unable to determine what exactly was happening to the 23-year-old, as he was too drunk to be questioned. “He was not allowed to enter, approach and temporarily prohibited from carrying weapons,” police said. “He will be reported to the StA after the investigation is completed.”

But the incident did not remain without legal consequences for the two men threatened. The scuffle resulted in a complaint on suspicion of bodily harm and property damage. Damage to property? Yes, because the glasses of the threat were damaged…
