An unknown perpetrator attempted to attack an innkeeper and rob him of money on Saturday afternoon in Thannhausen (Weiz district in Styria). But the clever innkeeper skillfully deceived the young robber.
The still unknown perpetrator entered the bar area of the inn around 4 p.m. and threatened the innkeeper with a hammer. “Open the cash register, then I’m gone!” The young, masked man demanded that he hand over cash.
The host played a cat and mouse game with the robber
The innkeeper then fled outside the restaurant and the perpetrator followed him. The man again demanded cash. When the innkeeper stormed back into the restaurant and locked the front door, the perpetrator fled empty-handed on a moped towards Nöstl.
The search has been unsuccessful so far
The Styrian State Criminal Police has started the investigation. Information about the perpetrators should be sent to the Styrian State Criminal Police on 059133/60 3333.
The perpetrator was wearing a gray T-shirt and carrying a gray shoulder bag at the time of the crime. He had a red T-shirt tied around his face. The perpetrator is approximately 175 cm tall and approximately 16 to 17 years old.
