On Tuesday evening, police had to be deployed in Vienna-Leopoldstadt after a 25-year-old attacked his girlfriend’s roommates with two machetes.
At around 1:00 AM, an argument escalated between the 25-year-old and his partner (26) in their apartment. When the 26-year-old’s roommate and two friends (both 33) from the shared apartment noticed the argument in the 26-year-old’s room, the suspect suddenly pulled out two machetes. According to the police, he threatened the roommates that he would kill them if they entered the room.
25-year-old arrested
The housemates immediately alerted the police. The 25-year-old was temporarily arrested. The machetes were also confiscated during the arrest. A temporary weapons ban was also imposed.
He is being held by police. His hearing is still pending.
