A flying metal bolt on the Mittersill highway (B 168) turned into a dangerous projectile on Wednesday.

A 20-year-old from Pinzgau was injured in a traffic accident on the Mittersill federal road (B 168) on Wednesday.

A metal bolt weighing over two pounds came loose from an oncoming truck and went through the windshield of his car, hitting the young man in the face.

The injured man was taken to the Tauern Clinic in Zell am See.
