An eight-year-old boy from Germany, living in Tyrol, was seriously injured on Tuesday afternoon in an accident with an agricultural loader in Stams (Imst district) in Tyrol. A shovel loaded with construction rubble landed on the child’s foot in front of a residential building.
The serious accident happened on Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. “A farm loader with an attached front loader and a shovel with construction rubble was standing in front of a residential building with the front loader resting on the ground but folded up,” according to the police.
Taken to hospital with injuries
Suddenly the shovel tipped forward and seriously injured the boy’s feet. “After initial treatment at the scene of the accident, the injured person was taken to the hospital in Zams,” the director explains.
