Fatal incident Thursday morning in Niederndorf (Kufstein district)! A farmer (75) was driving his tractor on a sloping field. The gear jumped out, causing the tractor to roll downhill and the man was thrown from the vehicle. He was seriously injured.
The 75-year-old was working with his tractor in Niederndorf on circular work. Around 10:44, the tractor’s gear was probably switched off for an unknown reason. The tractor then rolled downhill.
Shortly afterwards, the vehicle tipped over to the side, causing the man to fall from the driver’s seat. “The vehicle then rolled over several times and came to a stop approximately 100 metres further on,” police said.
To the hospital by helicopter
After initial treatment, the man was flown to the district hospital in Kufstein with significant injuries by the rescue helicopter “Heli 3”. The fire brigade of Niederndorf secured the tractor so that the vehicle could not fall further.
