A court in Avignon judges the events that took place in Mazan’s parental home, where men invited by Dominique Pélicot paraded so that they could rape his own wife.
Gisèle Pélicot, the French woman victim of ten years of rape organized by her own husbandhas told the court trying her abusers how she learned from police about the chemical abuse she was subjected to, which led to “scenes of barbarity” in which she was “a rag doll, a garbage bag” at the mercy of fifty men.

A total of There are 51 men sitting on the bench; 35 have acknowledged having had relationships, but with the qualification that they did not understand that the abuse was non-consensual. Only three have apologized.
At least that is what the Public Prosecution Service has reported 92 rapes in ten yearsalthough for years all suspicions about the victim remained limited to temporary gaps in his memory.
It was the police who summoned her to the police station and alerted her to the situation. “We’re going to teach you things you’re not going to like,” he says, after which the commissioner told him. He showed him a picture of a woman being raped by a man, though he didn’t recognize either person. When pressed, she eventually identified herself as the inert woman who appeared in the photo.
“They are scenes of barbarism,” Gisela explained as she told the beginning of a story “Immense trauma” where he initially just wanted to “disappear.” He even admitted that he thought about committing suicide, but remembered his three children and his grandchildren to keep going.
Gisèle had only seen the videos of the abuse this past May, when she began preparing for the trial, and for the first time was able to watch “unbearable scenes of rape” to which she was simply “numbed”. “I was sacrificed on the altar of vice,” she complained. “I am as dead”he said. She also referred to the men who raped her. “Or they never thought about their possible suffering: ‘They see me as a rag doll, as a bag of garbage,'” he said.
Gisèle has stated that she is not testifying for her own interests, but to help other women who may be victims of chemical enslavement.
