It was early in the morning when the 27-year-old from Graz was on his way home after a night of partying in the post garage. Heavily drunk and unsuspecting, the brutal incident suddenly took place: in the area Dreihackengasse/Rösselmühlgasse, a previously unknown perpetrator attacked the young man from behind.
With your face on the ground
The perpetrator grabbed his hip bag and tore it off him with force. The 27-year-old lost his balance, fell forward and landed on his face on the ground. With bleeding wounds, he had to be taken by ambulance to the Graz LKH.
The crime unit is investigating
The victim has not yet been able to provide any information about the accident, but there is a witness. She also provided first aid. The perpetrator is said to have fled with his loot together with two other men in the direction of Elisabethinergasse/Oeverseegasse. A house search has so far yielded nothing, the crime department has now started the investigation.
