A Bosnian living in Austria probably hoped for the deal of his life last week. In Berlin he obtained a large quantity of hashish, which he wanted to sell in Austria. However, the plan failed shortly before the border.
The man (35) had completed the ten-hour train journey from Berlin to Salzburg almost successfully in the middle of last week when he encountered a police check near Traunstein.
Search in the three-digit gram range
He initially denied to the officers that he had any prohibited items on him, but shortly after stated that he had a large quantity of ‘weed’ in his backpack. The police found three slabs of hash with a gram range of three figures on average.
The man was temporarily arrested and confessed to having bought the drugs in Berlin. Traunstein police took over the further investigation.
