Serious traffic accident on Wednesday evening in Gnas, south-east Styria: A 15-year-old moped driver was killed during an overtaking manoeuvre.
At around 19:15, a serious traffic accident occurred on the L211 between Gnas and Grabersdorf. A 15-year-old from southeastern Styria was riding his moped towards Grabersdorf when he first overtook a moped rider of the same age and then a tractor and trailer.
Lost control of vehicle
As the tractor overtook the teenager, a car in the opposite lane approached him. The young moped driver may have lost control of his vehicle: he collided with the tractor’s trailer. An emergency medical team that was called could not save the seriously injured teenager; he died at the scene of the accident.
