With the Tour de France and the Vuelta España, Felix Gall took part in two national tours in one season for the first time in his career. The Austrian cyclist is not going on holiday yet. The climber wants to attack again at the World Cycling Championships in Switzerland (29 September).
“Crown”: At 4,470 metres, the World Cup course around Zurich can hold its own against any Tour de France queen stage. What do you expect from the race?
Felix Gal: On paper he doesn’t seem that tough to me. Not really something for mountain riders, but good for professionals like Pogacar or Evenepoel. A World Championship is always an elimination race anyway, every lap is one km/h faster and there are five people less.”
