Gunshot wounds – three bodies: autopsy should provide information

Date:

In the case of the three bodies found Friday in a house in Perg in Upper Austria, only the autopsy results will provide new information. The autopsy has been ordered and will take place early next week, Linz prosecutor’s spokeswoman Ulrike Breiteneder said.

An 82-year-old, his 75-year-old wife and 57-year-old daughter had been dead in their home for “some time” when they were discovered. It is currently believed that the family died in August. The exact course of events is still under investigation. Police believe it was a murder-suicide incident involving a long gun. The 82-year-old and 75-year-old had gunshot wounds.

No evidence of external perpetrators
The circumstances of the death of the severely disabled daughter are “completely unclear”, according to Breiteneder. The autopsy should provide more information. There are no indications of a fourth person and therefore an outside perpetrator.

The bodies were discovered on Friday because a family friend was worried. She went to the neighbor’s house, but also did not have a key to the house. So the two women called the emergency services, who opened the house.
