Wild scenes unfolded in a cellar in Klagenfurt on Saturday morning. A pensioner caught a heavily drunk burglar red-handed who also had cocaine on him.
That doesn’t happen every day. A 79-year-old from Klagenfurt enters his basement and suddenly finds himself in front of a burglar. He immediately informed his wife. The 70-year-old then alerted the police. The police rushed to help with several patrols and heard loud screams coming from the basement. “The 79-year-old used physical force to push the young man to the ground,” describe the police officers who then took over.
Pensioner injured
The burglar is a 22-year-old from the Klagenfurt-Land district. He was arrested. The pensioner was slightly injured in the scuffle with the suspect. It is not known what the 22-year-old wanted to steal. Because he was heavily intoxicated, he could not yet be questioned on suspicion of the crime. He also had a small amount of cocaine with him.
