On a federal road in Gabersdorf in southern Styria, a 63-year-old Styrian wanted to turn his car around on Friday evening. There was a collision with another car. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch.
According to the police, the 63-year-old from the Leibnitz district wanted to turn onto the L625 towards Gabersdorf at around 8:35 p.m.
However, there was a collision with an oncoming car driven by a 41-year-old from South Styria.
Both vehicles ended up in the ditch. The 63-year-old was also injured in the accident. Like the 41-year-old, he was not drunk, the police emphasize.
The volunteer fire brigades of Gabersdorf and Neudorf an der Mur were on duty with 26 helpers until after 10 p.m.
