The perpetrators are getting younger and younger: two 16-year-olds destroyed several fire alarms in the city of Salzburg and set off the alarm. When the police were able to arrest the youngsters, one of the two attacked the officers. There, balaclavas, tools and a suspected stolen passport were found.
Two 16-year-old perpetrators – already known to the authorities – committed multiple criminal acts in the evening of September 14. They broke several windows of different fire alarms. As a result, the professional fire brigade had to sound the alarm several times, even though the Floriani was under great tension due to the storm.
The perpetrators were then stopped by a police patrol. One of the two teenagers threw a backpack at an officer and tried to run away. Failed!
During the subsequent search, police were able to seize tools and a balaclava. Police also found a passport; the passport could not be attributed to either suspect.
The Public Prosecution Service has ordered the release of the two young perpetrators.
