In the Vorarlberg town of Bludenz, a sensational accident took place on the night of Saturday to Sunday. A 17-year-old was driving at high speed through the town when he lost control of his car near the train station and crashed into the window of a drugstore.
Early Sunday morning at around 12:20 p.m., a 17-year-old boy, who, as it later turned out, did not have a valid driver’s license, drove from Fohrenburgstrasse onto the Bahnhofplatz.
Directly at the train station he turned left at high speed towards the L190. The driver lost control of the vehicle, skidded and hit the left rear of his car against the window of the Katte drugstore there.
The 17-year-old was not injured in the crash, but the storefront was smashed and the window frame was damaged. The vehicle involved in the crash also sustained damage to the rear and was no longer drivable, according to police.
The young speeding offender is reported to the BH Bludenz for not having a driver’s license and reckless driving. In addition, a report is filed with the public prosecutor in Feldkirch about the threat to physical safety.
In addition to the police, the Bludenz volunteer fire brigade also had to come out with four vehicles and ten men to temporarily repair the broken shop window.
