Do not drink drinking water from the taps! This is the advice of the health authority of the capital Klagenfurt. Routine checks have revealed increased levels of enterococci bacteria in various places in the city.
Boil for at least three minutes
Water from pipes throughout the city must be boiled for at least three minutes. Alternatively, they say, drink only purchased bottled water.
“The public utilities of Klagenfurt are working hard to restore the water quality. The exact cause of the contamination is still unclear,” the city announced on Friday.
