For the second time in two and a half weeks, a car landed in the stream bed in Kobenz (Styria) on Tuesday. The two occupants had to be freed by the volunteer fire brigade and cared for by the Red Cross.
On Tuesday, the Kobenz fire brigade (Murtal district) experienced a déjà vu: at the same place where a car ended up in the ditch two and a half weeks ago, another car ended up on its roof. For reasons that are still unclear, the driver left the road around 8:30 p.m., rolled over and came to a stop in the stream bed.
Large contingent of emergency services
The 16 firefighters gained access to the accident vehicle via a ladder; the Red Cross took over the care of the two occupants. The car was then lifted out of the ditch with a crane and the accident site was cleaned.
