They are all filled to the brim, full of documents, letters, applications and official correspondence. “There are now fourteen folders. A lot has been collected over the years,” says Paul Perterer. The former head of Saalfelden in Salzburg has been campaigning for almost twenty years against what he sees as unfair dismissal by the municipality. “I want to finally be able to finish this,” he says. This wish has not yet been fulfilled – also because of an unresolved legal confusion.
