Horrible incident in quiet Rauchwart: Apparently an animal abuser hit a stable on Saturday night. Owner Tamara P is still deeply shocked. On Friday evening she brought her animals into the stable, as she does every day. “Everything was fine then,” she says.
Horse in a pool of blood
When she returned to her loved ones the next morning, she found the 22-year-old mare “Moonlight” lying in a pool of blood. P. had suspected a different background at first, but when she discovered blood in other places, all the alarm bells went off for her. “Moonlight” was immediately taken to a veterinary clinic in Lower Austria.
Stab injury in the genital area
There, a seven centimeter long stab wound was found in the horse’s genital area. “There is a suspicion of third-party negligence,” the finding said. P. is now urging other pet owners to watch out and pay close attention. She hopes someone may have seen something. Police Notes: 059133/1206.
