Heavy traffic – rescue workers walked to patients on the A10

Date:

Even the most experienced emergency services have rarely experienced this!

On Saturday evening, the Red Cross had to go to the Tauern Autobahn (A10) for two independent operations. In the direction of Salzburg, medical emergencies occurred in a coach and a car near Werfen. Because the journey would take far too long for the Red Cross due to the traffic jam, it was decided to completely close the oncoming lane. The helpers were quickly on the scene. The Red Cross paramedics then ran on foot from one lane to the other.

There is a height difference of almost six meters between the lanes. The fire brigade of Pfarrwerfen andwerfen organized the transport of the patients – with ladders and a basket.
