Anyone who travels by plane can reserve a seat in advance. A new technical feature is causing a stir: women can see which seats men are sitting in when booking – so that they can sit somewhere else if necessary. Men, on the other hand, do not have this option.
When booking a flight, or at the latest when checking in online, you can usually choose the seat you want from the remaining free seats. Sometimes this costs extra – but for many passengers this expense is worth it, because they like to sit by the window, in the aisle or by the emergency exit. While some people like to look at the sky, others want to stretch their legs. The middle seats are generally not so popular. When booking in the first rows, many passengers also assume that they will get their food faster and can get off first.
