The aim of this decision is to give more time to the negotiations, given the opposition of the Junts. Congress would vote for the second time this Thursday on the stability path for the period 2025-2027.
He Government of Spain will remove the parliamentary processing from the path of stability, one step ahead of the budgets, in order to gain time in the look for support and thus avoid another rejection in Congress in the vote scheduled for next Thursday.
As confirmed by sources from the Ministry of Finance, the Council of Ministers will adopt this decision on Tuesday, with which it aims to “give a new opportunity for dialogue and to use all possibilities to reach an agreement that would be beneficial to autonomous communities and cities.”
Congress is set to vote for the second time this Thursday on a path to stability for the period 2025-2027 and everything indicated that the outcome of the first vote would be repeated: rejection with the votes of PP, Vox and Junts.
The withdrawal of the processing of the objectives, for the time being without a deadline to reactivate them, suspends the presentation of the 2025 budget project, which will no longer be able to meet the calendar provided for in the regulations, which require it to be approved by the Council of Ministers and entered into Congress before October.
