Two Ukrainians clashed in their shared accommodation in Flachau on Monday morning. The younger of the two (25) was taken away injured and the attacker (47) was arrested, the ‘Krone’ reports. Further investigation details are now available.
According to the police, it was probably a political discussion that escalated the dispute between two Ukrainians. The two residents of a refugee shelter in Flachau clashed yesterday morning, Monday.
The verbal altercation was followed by physical attacks. One of the two, the 47-year-old suspect, grabbed two knives from a cutlery drawer during the argument and is said to have seriously injured the younger man in the upper body.
According to information from the police, the injuries were life-threatening. However, the victim is now out of danger and is currently being questioned. According to the college, the suspect has confessed so far.
Pro-Russia vs. Pro-Ukraine
About the motive: The two had a heated argument, probably about the war in Ukraine. It turned out that the elder had a strong pro-Russian stance and the younger a pro-Ukrainian stance.
