After a woman’s body was found in a Vienna apartment on Sunday, the autopsy confirmed third-party culpability. The two arrested suspects made contradictory statements during their interrogation, so that the facts of the case are still unclear.
A 25-year-old had called the emergency call for what he said was “unconscious” in the apartment of a municipal building on Kantnergasse in the Floridsdorf district. Paramedics from the professional rescue service made unsuccessful attempts at resuscitation, for the 20-year-old all help came too late. Traces of blood in the stairwell testified to the brutal act.
“While clarifying the facts,” the report said, police found a friend (30) of the 25-year-old who was hiding in the basement of the apartment complex.
According to the 25-year-old, he had known the 20-year-old for a few months. The 30-year-old is a friend and roommate. The hearings were to continue on Monday afternoon.
