A serious industrial accident occurred in Koblach in Vorarlberg on Saturday. One man was seriously injured and had to be taken to Feldkirch state hospital.
De Koblacher was busy preparing the swimming pool in his garden for winter. To do this, he wanted to remove the cover plates that were hanging behind a pile of wood. The enormous pile of wood fell fatally and buried the man beneath it. The weight on him left him with no chance to free himself.
The alerted emergency services from the Koblach and Götzis fire brigades eventually managed to lift the pile of wood and save the accident victim. The injured person was treated on site by the emergency physician and then taken to Feldkirch State Hospital.
