A serious traffic accident occurred in Koblach (Vorarlberg) on Sunday night. A 26-year-old driver suffered injuries of an unknown nature. The man caused some confusion at the scene of the accident.
The 26-year-old resident was driving his car on the L55 from Koblach towards Mäder around midnight when, for an unknown reason, he lost control of his vehicle and left the road. The car first ‘mowed down’ some fence posts and traffic signs before it got stuck in the garden hedge of a residential building.
The driver was injured to an unspecified degree in the accident – he had to receive emergency medical care at the scene of the accident, after which emergency services took him to Feldkirch State Hospital. Police say whether the man was injured while driving the car, but it is still under investigation.
Look for additional accident victims
Curious: At the scene of the accident, the 26-year-old stated that there were other people in the vehicle. The emergency services then combed the area and the search also involved a police dog and a drone.
As part of the investigation, police officers called the home addresses of alleged crash victims – and found everyone safe and sound within their own four walls. The search was then stopped. During the registration of the accident and the cleaning work, the L55 was completely closed until 2:30 am.
