The St. Veit fire brigade had to free a visitor to the Wiesenmarkt from a toilet. The man was suddenly locked in the toilet room after a long nap on the toilet.
The FF St. Veit was called to a door opening on the grounds of the St. Veiter Wiesenmarkt in the early morning hours on Sunday. A man fell asleep while going to the toilet. “The nap in the toilet must have lasted several hours,” the emergency services said.
Since the curfew is at 3am, the outer doors of the toilets were locked. “Around 5:30 a.m., the emergency services were alerted by the state alarm and warning center,” says Wolfgang Hinteregger of the FF St. Veit. The visitor drew attention to himself by knocking loudly.
“The man was immediately released; he was a little confused,” Hinteregger continues, describing the unusual operation. But what is criticized: “The only strange thing is that no one checks whether there is anyone else in the toilet room.”
