A serious traffic accident occurred on the B178 near Lofer (state Salzburg) on Saturday evening: a Croatian motorist (21) lost control in a left bend. The car crashed into a rock wall and then slid down an embankment.
Both the driver and the two women (20, 25) traveling with him were able to free themselves from the damaged wreckage of the vehicle. All three were taken to the hospital in Zell am See by the Red Cross as a precaution. Beforehand, the police carried out an alcohol test on the driver: 0.0 per mille.
The local fire brigade deployed 25 people to rescue and remove the vehicle. During these works, the B178 was difficult to pass.
