A spectacular and strange accident involving a car took place on Sunday in the parking lot in the Kanzelkehre area on Achenseestrasse in Wiesing. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured.
The Israeli driver (79) of the car apparently had problems operating the rental car’s automatic system or the pedals. According to police, he mixed up the accelerator and brake pedals. He wanted to park the car at the Kanzelkehre around 1:50 PM when the accident happened to him.
The car remained on its side
The accident caused the car to roll backwards and fall seven meters over the embankment. There he lay on his side in the forest among the trees. The four occupants, aged between 66 and 79, were able to free themselves from the car and were not injured.
The fire brigade recovered the car
There was a lot of work for the Wiesing and Eben fire brigade at the time. About thirty Floriani youth were busy recovering the car.
