At 10 a.m. the Upper Austrian police received a threatening email. This time the Ramsauergymnasium in the Bindermichl district of Linz was threatened. The school was evacuated and the investigation is ongoing. The all-clear has now been given and no explosive has been found. This morning there was another bomb threat in Graz.
It was another email received in the morning by state police headquarters. Once again there was the threat of an attack on a school – BG Ramsauerstrasse. Numerous police units left and cleared the school. About 700 students had to leave the building. Striking: Almost at the same time there was a threat against a school in Graz.
Danger on Friday too
The Otto Glöckel School in Linz was last threatened with an attack last Friday. On Tuesday it was the turn of the Ramsauergymnasium. Internally, the police naturally assume that they are free riders, after bomb threats against train stations across the country caused commotion and delays.
Not an isolated case
On September 14, the Karlhofschule in Linz-Urfahr had to be evacuated and searched. Shortly after 7 a.m., a caller made a bomb threat to the police. Late in the morning the director gave the signal: nothing dangerous had been found.
Everything clear in the afternoon
Permission has also been given at the Ramsauergymnasium: shortly before three o’clock the police announced that no explosives had been found during the search of the building. The cordoned off area was released again. The investigation continues, police said.
