That could have ended tragically: late Friday afternoon, a 73-year-old woman from Linz crashed into the facade of a supermarket in Leonding (Upper Austria). The driver was unharmed and, miraculously, no other people were injured. The cause of the accident sounds very special…

The 73-year-old woman from Linz told police after the accident that she had had a “fatigue attack”. That is why she crashed her Mercedes into the facade of a supermarket in Leonding on Friday around 5 p.m.

Major damage to building
The driver survived the accident unscathed and because fortunately no one wanted to hand in the empty bottles, no further injuries were reported. However, there was significant damage to the car and building.
