Discarded with consequences – shock after a disco attack with bow and arrow

Date:

On Sunday morning, a drunk man from the Krems district (Lower Austria) is said to have aimed with a bow and arrow at the security in front of the cult bar La Boom in St. Pölten. The 41-year-old perpetrator was caught and taken to St. Pölten prison on suspicion of attempted serious bodily harm. The background of the crime is still largely in limbo, the shock is great and the investigations are ongoing.

Alcohol, high temperatures and a large amount of testosterone almost led to disaster in the famous La Boom disco in St. Pölten over the weekend. At about 1:20 a.m., a serious argument broke out in the restaurant. The fighters, of course, immediately flew out of the bar, but continued the fight in front of the door. One of those involved ended up in hospital with injuries. While it was still believed to be a “typical” Saturday night brawl, the raw awakening ensued.

Perpetrators arrested, investigation ongoing
At about 4:30 a.m., one of the men returned and suddenly stood in front of the bar armed with a sport bow and arrows. “Our security personnel were able to secure the arch and alert the police,” says disco boss Andreas Brandstetter. Thanks to the quick intervention of the police, who subsequently arrested the perpetrator, no one was injured.

The 41-year-old from the Krems district is said to have had about one in a thousand alcohol in his blood and is now detained as a precaution. It is now being determined for attempted grievous bodily harm.
